Celebrate International Day of Disabled People with I.Lead

Join I.Lead, Minister Sepuloni - Minister for Disability Issues - and speaker Cam Colkoen to celebrate International Day of Disabled People on Friday 3 December.

The 2021 theme from the United Nations is “Leadership and participation of persons with disabilities toward an inclusive, accessible and sustainable post-COVID-19 world.”

The annual observance of the International Day of Disabled Persons was proclaimed in 1992 by United Nations General Assembly resolution 47/3 . It aims:

to promote the rights and well-being of persons with disabilities in all spheres of society and development, and to increase awareness of the situation of persons with disabilities in every aspect of political, social, economic and cultural life.

To mark the day, I.Lead will be hosting a Zoom launching 'The Empowered Programme - Dream Big, Achieve More'.
