We have a new and unique opportunity for a passionate individual who is committed to empowering people with disabilities through play, active recreation and sport.

This is a great prospect for a talented individual, particularly someone who has lived experience of disability, to champion improved outcomes for disabled people through play, active recreation and sport.  This exciting role will lead the implementation of Sport NZ'S Disability Action Plan, facilitate and share best practice, data and insights and be an advocate for an inclusive system.

The successful candidate will be a Diversity and Inclusion champion with a comprehensive understanding of current issues and approaches to support the disabled community within the play, active recreation and sport sector. They will have the ability to build and manage valuable relationships with our internal Sport NZ team, external providers and relevant government agencies. Further success in this role will be a comprehensive understanding of sport and active recreation's wider value to society, general system challenges and opportunities.
