Review of the Be. Institute Social Change Campaign

After five years of funding Be. Accessible, the Ministry of Social Development (MSD) considered it timely to reflect on what the funding has achieved. The research and evaluation agency, Allen + Clarke was commissioned to conduct an independent review of Be. Accessible. The focus was to assess the effectiveness, efficiency, relevance and sustainability of the three Be. Accessible programmes.

The findings identified that overall, Be. Accessible achieves, and in some cases exceeds, the outcomes agreed with MSD, implementing and managing its programmes in an efficient manner.

The review findings include recommendations for improvement to inform Be. Accessible and the Office for Disability Issues how the Be. Accessible social change movement and programmes might evolve and improve.   Be. Accessible and the Office for Disability Issues are working collectively on a strategic plan for the new financial year.
