The United Nation's List of 100 Issues

The Office for Disibility Issues has co-ordinated, across Government, the draft report in response to 100 issues raised by the UN Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.

This is the process where the UN examines New Zealand’s implementation of the UN Convention – an opportunity to review, learn and make progress.

The draft report will be presented to Cabinet in August. Once approved, it will be available on the ODI website for feedback before a final copy is sent to the UN late in 2018.

The report is then discussed at a face-to-face meeting with the Committee assessing NZ’s progress in implementing the Convention in 2019. There we receive feedback about where we should prioritise to make further progress for disabled people in New Zealand.
