Tena Koutou, Tena Koutou, Tena Koutou Katoa
My name is Duncan Armstrong.
I was born in 1989.
That was the year the Education Act was passed in Parliament, giving people with disabilities the right to go to school with everyone else.
I am a mainstreamer!
I went to Northland School and then to Onslow College.
I left Onslow at the end of last year. I studied science, Maori, music, drama and other stuff.
I did lots of plays and shows at school, and I was part of a drama group called Ginger Crunch. We performed at the Newtown Community Centre, and at Te Papa.
This year I went to Whitireia Polytech and did a Foundation Certificate in Rock Music.
Next I would like to study more Music at Whitireia or maybe do Drama at a polytech or a University.
I am a drummer, and I act and dance. I want to be a performer for my life.
I will need training. Which University or Polytech will let me study Music or Drama?
Thank you.
