The Associate Minister of Special Education, Hon Heather Roy has released the Review of Special Education 2010: discussion document, for public consultation. Submissions are due by 5pm Friday 19 March 2010.

08: Auckland Social Policy Forum Discussion document

The Minister for Social Development and Employment, Paula Bennett, has released a public discussion document on the Auckland Social Policy Forum.

This document discusses the main features of the Auckland Social Policy Forum (the Forum), including what it will do, how it could work, and how it might relate to the non governmental sector (NGO) and community sector.

The closing date for feedback is Friday 21 May 2010.

The discussion document is available in PDF and MS Word format and can be accessed using a text-to-speech programme.

09: Implementation of the Anti-Money Laundering and Countering Financing of Terrorism Act 2009: Regulations and Codes of Practice

The Anti-Money Laundering and Countering the Financing of Terrorism Act 2009 was passed on 16 October 2009. Regulations and codes of practice need to be developed to support the Act. The Ministry of Justice has released a discussion document to invite public comment on these regulations and codes of practice.

One of the issues covered in the document is identity verification, which can be problematic for people who do not drive, or have a passport.

Comments on the discussion document should be provided to the Ministry of Justice by 5pm Friday 19 March 2010, and should be sent to:
