Part Three: Nominations Service

This is the Office's email update of 22 December 2008. The Nominations Service aims to increase the number of disabled people appointed to roles on state sector boards and committees.

9: Current vacancies.

2009 will be a busy year for the Nominations Service. The Lotteries Distribution Community Committees will have a number of vacancies in September and there will be a number of health related vacancies coming up throughout the year.

State Owned Enterprise Boards

Vacancies close on 19 January.  Contact the Office if you have relevant sector knowledge and senior management or Chief Executive experience for:

The Midwifery Council of New Zealand, Medical Laboratory Science Board, Nursing Council New Zealand, Optometrists and Dispensing Opticians Board, Dieticians Board, National Health Committee, Medical Radiation and Technicians Board, Podiatrists Board, Osteopathic Council and the Pharmacy Council.

Ethics and health research experience for:

Perinatal and Maternal Mortality Review Committee, Medical Council of New Zealand, The Child and Youth Mortality Review Committee, Ethics Committee on Assisted Reproductive Technology (ECART) and Advisory Committee on Assisted Reproductive Technology (ACART).

National Screening Unit.

There are two vacancies on the National Screening Advisory Committee.
