27: Innov'08 - weaving innovation into health: Wellington 3-5 November 2008.
New Zealand Trade and Enterprise and the Ministry of Health are hosting the conference to promote innovative solutions for healthcare. 29: Autistic Spectrum Disorder workshops: Auckland (24-27 November) Wellington (1-4 December).
The workshops are being hosted by Standards Plus. The purpose of the workshops is to focus on understanding and supporting people with Autistic Spectrum Disorder. A three day "Managing Challenging Behaviour" workshop followed by an half day "Asperger Syndrome Awareness Workshop"is being offered.
The Auckland workshops are being held at the Centra Auckland Airport Hotel 24-26 November and 27 November 2008.
The Wellington workshops are being held at the Brentwood Hotel 1-3 December and 4 December 2008.

32: Down Under Institute event – Hamilton 22-26 February 2009.
The Lifestyle Trust and Disability Resource Centre (Hawkes Bay) Trust are co-hosting an event in Hamilton in February 2009 which has a focus on inclusion, community and diversity. This event is largely based on the Toronto Summer Institute that has been delivered in Canada for the past 20 years.
The event aims to bring together people working actively on the complex issues of inclusion and diversity in communities, workplaces and schools. It will be open to people who are involved with or part of any group that face barriers to inclusion within general society. This has a focus on but is not exclusive to disabled people.

33: Momentum 09: International Disability Arts Symposium 25-28 Februrary 2009.
The organisers of Momentum 09 International Disability Arts Symposium, which is being held in Auckland, are calling for expressions of interest from artists, performers, speakers and delegates. Momentum 09 is a project of Diversityworks Trust with support from ASB Community Trust, Arts Regional Trust, AUT University, Jubilee Trust, Community Organisation Grants Scheme and the International Guild of Disabled Artists and Performers.
The symposium includes:

- evening programmes on the topic "Over the edge -pushing the boundaries of disability arts."

34: Deaf Short Film Festival: Wellington 4–10 May 2009.
The Deaf Short Film Festival 2009 is a week-long festival that will run during New Zealand Sign Language Week, 4-10 May 2009. The Deaf Short Film Festival 2009 is being held in Wellington and involves two parts:
1. the New Zealand Deaf Short Film competition 2009, and
2. a showcase of Deaf films from NZ and around the world.
1. Deaf Short Film competition
New Zealand people are invited to make and enter new films into the Deaf Short Film competition 2009. Films selected as finalists in the competition will be screened in a Wellington cinema at the end of the week.
2. International Deaf Cinema Showcase
The Deaf Short Film Festival 2009 will showcase a range of films portraying Deaf culturare invited to submit their films reflecting Deaf language and culture.
