NZ Application for the 2007 Franklin Delano Roosevelt International Disability Award

Appendix 1: New Zealand Implementation of the Standard Rules on the Equalization of Opportunities for Persons with Disabilities

The following section identifies specific actions and examples of New Zealand’s responses to the Standard Rules. In many cases, these rules have been reflected in one of the objectives in the New Zealand Disability Strategy. This is not a full or comprehensive analysis. It gives a flavour of our key activities and achievements. Where possible, we have linked the Rules to relevant Articles in the United Nations Draft Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
