Implementation work plans

All government departments are required to develop annual New Zealand Disability Strategy implementation work plans that specify actions each department will take to implement the Strategy.
The current and past work plans for each department can be access in this section. They can be read in conjunction with the progress reports.
The decisions that territorial authorities and non-departmental public bodies make also have a significant impact on the lives of disabled people. It is important that territorial authorities and other agencies support and assist with implementing the New Zealand Disability Strategy, and ways of making this happen need to be considered in discussion with them. As part of its role in leading the implementation of the New Zealand Disability Strategy, the Office for Disability Issues is working on a extending awareness and action on disability issues throughout our society.
The Minister for Disability Issues reports to Parliament annually on progress in implementing the New Zealand Disability Strategy.
