Progress In Implementing The NZ Disability Strategy 2005-2006
The sixth progress report on implementation of the NZ Disability Strategy covers activity by government agencies that submitted work plans for the period July 2005 to June 2006. Under the NZ Public Health and Disability Act 2000, the Minister for Disability Issues is required to report to Parliament by the end of each calendar year on progress in implementing the NZ Disability Strategy. In this progress report, for the first time a summary of implementation planning for 2006-2007 is presented. Also, there are separate chapters collating action and planned work for: implementing the New Zealand Sign Language Act 2006; and responding to the National Health Committee’s ‘To have an ordinary life’ report.
