Leaders and Achievers
A key aspiration of the New Zealand Disability Strategy is about disabled people
- doing things for themselves
- to live a good life
- make decisions over what they do
- enjoy opportunities for increasing their well-being.
One way to make this happen is for disabled people to help each other overcome barriers to participation, both as individuals and collectively. The government is committed to encouraging leadership in the disability community to help make this happen.
